Objectives
– To promote household LED lamps usage and introduce the advantages of LED lamps
– To increase public awareness on selection of LED lamps with Voluntary Energy Efficiency
Label during light bulb procurement
Theme and Requirement
– To design household lamp lantern with AC 220V power input
– The lamp lantern shall use LED light bulb as the lighting source assembly with light bulb
holder and basic control components

Break the Cocoon, Sparkling Hong Kong (BCSHK 2020) – Designers Inspiration Trip

Hong Kong is filled with creative talent more than you think of. 19 esteemed awardees of Hong Kong Smart Design Awards (HKSDA) 2019 participated in the Designers Inspiration Trip (BCSHK 2020) to Germany and the Netherlands during 1-10 February 2020. They got the chance to demonstrate local creative product designs to overseas buyers, explore business opportunities and build valuable business network at Ambiente, Frankfurt and Spielwarenmesse, Nuremberg Toy Fair. Again this year, apart from Germany, the delegation further reached the Netherlands for cultural and commercial exchange, including Moooi Design Studio, Droog Design Studio and museum visits. The Netherlands is filled with cultural art atmosphere, particularly strong in product design. This Designers Inspiration Trip aims at refreshing designers’ vision with latest global market trends, not only to enhance their competitiveness in the evolving market, but also raise the publicity of local designs in global platform as a result.

「破繭而出，閃耀香港」(BCSHK 2020) – 設計師啟發之旅

 

香港是個充滿創意人才的地方。19名2019 年度的「香港智營設計大賞」得獎設計師於2020 年2 月1至10日期間遠赴德國及荷蘭參加BCSHK 2020「設計師啟發之旅」。他們不但獲得機會於「德國法蘭克福日用消費品展Ambiente」及德國紐倫堡舉行的國際玩具展「Spielwarenmesse」向海外買家展示本地創意產品設計，並從中探索商機，建立寶貴的人脈網絡。今年除德國外，代表團更前往到荷蘭Moooi設計工作室、Droog設計工作室及博物館參觀，進行文化和商業交流。 荷蘭是個充滿了文化藝術氛圍，尤其是產品設計非常出式。此次「設計師啟發之旅」旨在讓各設計師加深了解國際市場，提升他們在設計和業務技能的競爭力，同時希望能拓闊設計師的個人視野，加強本土設計的知名度及發展空間。

About the M2S Pavilion 關於量產客制化展覽館
With much research effort and hard work, the M2S Pavilion is the integrated platform to address the gap in expectations between the Hong Kong Industrial Design Professionals (HKIDP) and manufacturers diverging towards the two respective ends of scale customisation and mass production. The pavilion showcases the insights and findings of the research study and its associated thematic workshops involving up to 100 stakeholders. In view of the predominant emphasis paid to economic and financial development over industrial establishments in Hong Kong, knowledge and implications of scale customisation and Industry 4.0 technologies on manufacturing businesses are to be shared, with a distinct focus on the role of HKIDP facing the challenges and opportunities along the supply value chain.

經過多月的研究和努力，量產客製化展覽館是一個綜合平台，為解決香港工業設計專業（HKIDP）與製造商在大量生 產和批量生產兩極化的預期差距而設。展覽館展示研究及 有關專題工作坊的見解與發現，當中涉及最多100個相關持 份者。鑑於香港對經濟及金融發展的重視程度遠超工業與 實業，展覽館會分享量產客制化與工業4.0技術為製造業帶 來的知識及影響，並聚焦香港工業設計專業於供應價值鏈 上所擔當的角色及其挑戰與機遇。

About M2S 關於量產客制化
As part of the Celebration Programme of the 50th anniversary of Design Council of Hong Kong, the major objective of the M2S project is to add value to Hong Kong industrial design professional services. Through promoting scale customisation and disseminating new knowledge about Industry 4.0, we help to advance the quality of Hong Kong design and enhance external competitiveness of Hong Kong industry. The project includes a six-month research to examine the current situation of mass production and scale customisation in Hong Kong. The research is expected to reveal the challenges and opportunities facing Hong Kong industrial design professionals, and to explore ways to change mindset so as to prepare and equip for scale customisation. In June 2018, we have already held a series of thematic workshops. In December, we are now taking part in DesignInspire 2018 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and set up a pavilion (display gallery). The research findings will be published in early 2019 in the form of an e-guidebook. Through featuring works of Hong Kong industrial design professional services, the e-guidebook will suggest the best practice of how industrial design professionals are to select suppliers of scale customisation and elaborate the standards of the external market.

作為香港設計委員會五十周年的誌慶活動之一，量產客制化計劃旨在為本港的工業設計專業服務升級增值，透過推廣量 產客製化及其他工業 4.0 的最新行業知識，為香港設計提升 質素，加強本港工業的對外競爭力。 計劃包括進行一項長達半年的研究，探討香港目前大量生產 及客製化生產的狀況，以探索本地工業設計專業所面對的挑 戰與機遇，以及可如何改變思維，為量產客製化作好準備和 裝備。 於二零一八年六月，我們已率先舉行一連串量產客制化專題 工作坊，踏入十二月，我們亦現正於香港會議展覽中心舉行的 DesignInspire 2018 設立展覽館（展示廊）。 研究結果將於二零一九年初結集成電子指南出版，通過特寫 香港工業設計專業服務，為香港工業設計專業提供選擇量產 客製化供應商的最佳方法，以及就外部巿場標準提供最佳 指引。
